Squawk

This tool functions as a static code analyzer and linter designed specifically for PostgreSQL database schemas and SQL migration scripts, aiming to prevent schema-related mistakes and optimize database changes. Its main features include enforcing best practices for schema design, ensuring safe online migrations, preventing potentially harmful operations such as dropping or altering critical tables or columns, and integrating seamlessly with version control systems like GitHub to automate pull request linting. It solves problems related to database downtime, data inconsistency, and application errors caused by schema changes, making it particularly valuable for database administrators, developers, DevOps teams, and organizations seeking reliable, maintainable, and high-availability PostgreSQL databases.
