QueryProxy

QueryProxy functions as a secure, self-hosted intermediary that manages and controls database access for development and operations teams by routing SQL queries through a monitored approval system, ensuring sensitive data is masked and audited throughout the process. Its main features include an open-source architecture compatible with multiple database management systems, integrated query approval workflows via web or Slack, automatic query modifications such as limit injection, masking of personally identifiable information, and extensive auditing to improve data security and compliance; it addresses issues related to sharing production credentials, unauthorized data access, and lack of oversight, making it ideal for database administrators, developers, compliance officers, and data security teams seeking to safeguard production data while enabling authorized data exploration.
