SANDI

This adaptive driving simulation platform helps neurodiverse adolescents and adults learn and practice essential driving skills by guiding them through progressively challenging scenarios—from basic vehicle control to traffic navigation, night driving, adverse weather, and emergency maneuvers—while collecting data from non-invasive sensors that track eye gaze, heart rate, and skin conductance to gauge engagement and stress. Advanced analytics and real-time feedback, powered by machine learning, enable instructors to monitor progress, adjust difficulty, and provide personalized coaching, addressing barriers such as anxiety, sensory overload, and accessibility in driver education, and serving autistic learners, other neurodiverse populations, their families, driving programs, schools, therapies, and even neurotypical students who benefit from enhanced confidence and safety on the road.
