Catalyst

A VST/AU sequencer plugin designed to craft basslines, melodies, chord progressions and arpeggios by routing MIDI to hosted soft synths, it combines a monophonic 32-step step sequencer with per-step pitch, velocity and gate time controls, a harmonizer that builds full chords from single notes within a chosen key, and an arpeggiator that creates custom patterns from those chords, all while key and scale settings constrain notes to the selected root and mode and automatically transpose when the root or scale changes.

By addressing writer's block and uncertainty about music theory, this tool guarantees musical results in the chosen key, offers built-in randomization, multiple pattern slots, easy pattern switching, MIDI routing from the DAW to the active module, and the option to host any AU/VST synth, making it ideal for electronic music producers, composers, and songwriters seeking quick creative kickstarts.
