• What happens if Meta’s API delays or fails to deliver a new comment—will CommentDefender catch and moderate it later?

  Delayed comments, yes. CommentDefender receives new comments through Meta's webhooks, so when a delayed comment finally reaches us, it's checked against your rules and hidden or deleted as usual, however late it arrives.

  Failed deliveries are mostly covered too. If our server doesn't accept a delivery, Meta sends it again, and repeat deliveries are ignored. If our request to hide or delete a comment fails, we retry it automatically.

  There is one limit. We don't currently scan your posts for comments Meta never sent us. If Meta never delivers a comment, it won't be moderated automatically, and you'd need to handle it directly on Facebook or Instagram.
