  Changes reach the API through a staged update process. The scraper runs weekly, or manually when needed, and compares its output against the existing API datasets. It reports added, removed and changed items, changed fields, schema changes, and scraper errors. MediaWiki revision IDs are also recorded for source traceability.

  Before publication, the scraper validates the records and protects existing data against empty results and suspicious count drops greater than 70%. The workflow then runs the API tests and validates dataset counts, field types and metadata consistency.

  The resulting update is submitted as a pull request rather than pushed directly to production. Removed items and potentially breaking schema changes are flagged for human review, with the scrape report and logs attached to the workflow run. The API serves the repository’s published snapshot rather than fetching wiki changes live.

  There are limits: these checks verify the captured data and API compatibility; they do not automatically prove that a wiki removal was intentional or correct. That requires checking the source page or its history during review. Entire categories that disappear or become empty can also retain their previous data, so those cases need explicit review and cleanup.
