SimpleQ is a managed job queue with an HTTP API — queues as a service for AI and API-heavy backends. POST a job and SimpleQ queues it, then delivers it to your webhook with retries and backoff, dead-lettering, per-queue rate limiting, and HMAC-signed delivery handled for you. Your webhook runs the business logic; SimpleQ handles transport, not execution — it never runs your code.

Reliability is built in: idempotency keys dedupe publishes, and backpressure lets a downstream 429/503/529 defer the job and redeliver on Retry-After without burning an attempt. Ack mode covers work past the 15s webhook window — acknowledge immediately, then report ack, nack, or defer. Delay jobs up to 24h, and inspect every attempt with per-job logs and one-click dead-letter replay in the dashboard.

A drop-in alternative to SQS, Cloud Tasks, or self-hosted BullMQ. The REST API works from any language; the official TypeScript SDK (@simpleq/sdk) is available today, with more coming.

• Ack mode
  For work longer than the 15-second webhook window, return 200 immediately, then report the outcome later with ack, nack, or defer.
• HTTP job queue
  Publish a job with one authenticated REST call and SimpleQ queues it, then delivers it to your webhook — no queue infrastructure to run yourself.
• Idempotency keys
  Dedupe publishes on a key so a retried or repeated call returns the existing job instead of creating a duplicate.
• Dashboard visibility
  Per-job logs, attempt history, and payloads let you see exactly what happened to every job and debug without grep.

  Failed deliveries retry on configurable exponential or fixed backoff, up to a per-queue max-attempts ceiling.
